Where Locals Eat Seafood
In 1978, long before Charleston became known as an international tourist destination, A. W. Shuck’s opened on The Market. It was a place for locals, where one could get a plate of fried shrimp, a dozen raw oysters, or a cold pitcher of beer. Today, we are still proudly serving delicious fresh seafood and Lowcountry dishes to the good people of Charleston, both locals and ‘temporary locals’. Get down to 35 S. Market Street, and see what’s fresh!
